Film Masters is at it again, bringing a classic film back in the best way with the 4K version release of THE SWISS CONSPIRACY on Blu-ray and DVD. Like every release from Film Masters, this one is a collector’s item with a great booklet with photos and information about the film. In a world of streaming, this shows why there are still collectors. It’s nice to hold the case and enjoy the artwork and read through the booklet and you can’t put a streaming film on a shelf.
The film itself looks beautiful. The restoration is really amazing with Film Masters recruiting Marc Wielage to bring it back and despite the great look, it still has that great 1970s gritty feel.
The story concerns various people with bank accounts being blackmailed for a lot of money. The bank president begins the investigation, but things are getting messy as the clients are being killed. There’s a lot of fun in this film as the mystery thickens.
One of the coolest things about this film is the setting. The beautiful Alps is a great backdrop for an action/drama to take place, especially with it featured almost like another character at the finale of this film.
THE SWISS CONSPIRACY release from Film Masters is a great collector’s item and good for any film lover that wants more from their movie. I appreciate how they add a booklet with each release. It adds to the overall experience and they put tons of extras on top of that. I highly recommend this one. I really liked the movie and it looked and sounded great. Look for it on February 20th.
