Sting announces that he and the TNT champion, Darby Allin, are taking on Team Taz, Ricky Starks and Brian Cage in a street fight at the next AEW PPV. I’m happy to see that Sting dyed his hair black again. His promos are still rusty, but he’ll get it all back. It’s awesome to have the Stinger back and back on TNT of all things.
Chris Jericho and MJF come to the ring with the entire Inner Circle as they face off against the Varsity Blonds, made up of Brian Pillman, JR., and Griff Garrison. Jericho is enjoying the crowd singing Judas again, which is always a cool to see.
Garrison and Pillman, JR., take the early advantage. They are dominating the action until MJF cheap-shots Pillman, JR., to finally get the edge. Pillman, JR., gets the hot tag to Garrison and the Varsity Blonds are getting near fall after near fall. Jericho is taking a beating but Jericho lands the Judas Effect to get the 3 count.
There’s still some animosity between MJF and Sammy Guevara.
