The Inner Circle’s New Year’s Resolution, Darby Allin VS Brian Cage, Miro VS Chuck Taylor, The Bullet Club & More: AEW Dynamite (1/13) Preview & Pro Wrestling News

Last week, AEW knocked it out of the park with last week’s episode of Dynamite that saw AEW World Champion, Kenny Omega, defend his title successfully against Rey Fenix.  Jon Moxley came down and that led to Don Callis calling down his boys, the Good Brothers, the IMPACT Tag Champions, and it led to the AEW Tag Champions, the Young Bucks to come down.  We saw the Bullet Club reunite and two different promotions come together to make something special.  So, now here we are a week later and we have a lot of the card to discuss…

TNT CHAMPIONSHIP: Darby Allin (with Sting) VS Brian Cage (With Taz)

There is a 100 pound weight difference between the challenger, Cage, and the champion, Allin, going into this one.  Every time that the two have met, Allin has been left lying in a mangled heap, but things have changed and Allin has the championship now and has Sting in his corner.

Cage’s only defeat has been to Jon Moxley and he is coming into this one with a full head of steam, but I suspect that Allin will take this one, possibly in a way that still protects Cage.  I could see a DQ win or count out.

PAC VS Eddie Kingston

Pac has reunited with the Lucha Bros while Kingston has continued to team with the Butcher, Bunny and Blade.  Pac and Kingston will go one on one this week and it should be a great match.  The promo work by Kingston sets him apart and his in ring work is catching up.  Pac is still a top star in AEW and could still pick up the TNT or even world title after the proper push.

I suspect that Pac wins this one, but it’s a great match between two of AEW’s best.

FTR (With Tully Blanchard) VS Jurassic Express – Tag Team Action

Jurassic Express will step into the ring with the former tag champs, FTR, but this time, it will be Marko Stunt stepping in and tagging with one of the other members.  FTR called Stunt on his “mascot” status in the group and it didn’t go over well last week.  Without question, FTR wins this one.  The addition of Stunt to the group made Jurassic Express a jobber team.  Maybe we can start to get away from that once they separate them.

The Waiting Room Segment with Cody Rhodes

Dr. Britt Baker will bring her popular talk show segment “The Waiting Room” to Dynamite featuring Cody Rhodes.  Baker should be her amusing self again as she conducts her interview.  Cody is great at promos.  This will be fun all around.

NWA Women’s World Championship- Serena Deeb VS Tay Conti (Dark Order)

The current NWA world champion, Serena Deeb, will defend her title against Tay Conti, a member in training of the Dark Order.  Deeb has done well and was able to defeat Thunder Rosa.  Tay Conti is coming into her own and she will have the Dark Order in her corner, I’m sure.  Anna Jay will definitely be there.  This should be a great match.

Miro (With Kip Sabian & Penelope Ford) VS Chuck Taylor (With Orange Cassidy)

The loser has to be the “young boy” to the winner and I suspect Miro will win this one. This could lead to a lot of fun segments where Taylor has to be the servant and with the wedding coming up, I can only imagine the funny bits that are yet to come.  Miro is hilarious despite his powerful tough guy persona.  He is really coming out of his shell in AEW and this should be fun and lead to some great moments.

The Inner Circle’s New Year’s Resolution

What does the Inner Circle have in store for their New Year’s Resolution?  With Chris Jericho, MJF and the rest of the group together, anything is possible.  Every person in that group has a comedic edge to them with the exception of Wardlow.  This segment will be hilarious I’m sure and with the team really coming together, I suspect it will be a loving moment for the team and a funny one.

IMPACT WILL INVADE

With the IMPACT PPV coming up, I suspect many IMPACT stars will invade to push the PPV but to further cement the AEW-IMPACT union.
