This Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, we will see the debut of “Broken” Matt Hardy in the AEW ring. He will be tagging up with Kenny Omega to take on “Le Sex Gods” Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara in a street fight.
There was a time when “Broken” Matt Hardy was the most popular wrestler in the world and was bringing a lot of people to Impact Wrestling. The Broken Universe was awesome but when Impact made some very unpopular changes, Hardy went to the WWE and we got “Woken” Matt Hardy, a widely ignored and watered down version of the character. Make no mistake, AEW will not make the same mistake. They know what they have in Hardy and it’s going to be great to see him in the ring again.
For weeks, a feud has been brewing between Hardy and the “hole of ass” Jericho, and the two will be in the ring in a street fight, which should be intense and hilarious. Omega and Guevara are added to the match and they always deliver. This is a great main event for the show and is, as of now, the only match announced.
There are also rumors that the Broken Universe will be returning and a Dynamite episode possibly taking place at the Hardy compound. It’s a shame that Jeff Hardy is still in the WWE. He was a great part of it, but maybe he’ll come back when his contract expires or if the WWE releases him as they’ve done with so many others.
